I'm not sure if my poorly created blood makes this mature, but I'd like to be safe.
Anyway! Cry of Fear is one of my favorite games and Simon is a wonderful character, such a tortured little soul. I've wanted to draw him for ages, but could never decide on how I'd go about it. I finally went with Book!Simon. Doesn't look like him sure, but I tried to go with him, just before he went insane. I do get the meaning behind him and his battle with Simon, however, I like to think of him as his own person.
So here, he's realizing that he's being left in the Book world, alone, for good and he's not happy. Tried to go with a grief stricken insanity, but failed. I guess he just looks shocked and sad. Whatever. I wanted text to be in the picture saying something along the lines of "Don't leave me here alone.", but I don't have any horror fonts. >.< Ugh.... I wanted to have another picture connected with him screaming, after realizing that he is indeed being left there, but I can't be bothered.
Always felt sorry for Book!Simon. Went through all that hell and was left there to die. I know he wasn't real, but you know.
So yeah, I tried the whole blood effect, I'd love to have Orochimaru covered in blood. He'd look awesome.
Haven't been able to update lately because I've been sick and my computer is dying. Like I can't even make new accounts anymore... or rename old ones. I'm going to need to buy Photoshop again... and it's sooo expensive.

Never heard of this game, but it sounds interesting 
And I already feel bad for this guy, if there was an option to take him, I likely would to prevent that insanity forming.
As for his appearance, I can see a hint of madness forming in the eye, I mean, in a sense, insanity takes all forms, it depends on what is bases on, madness forming from a sick desire to hurt or be hurt or madness out of intense fear, betrayal, trauma, etc. So I think you nailed it either way.
Hope you get better and able to find a replacement computer, also, if you're a student still, you might be able to get the Adobe package for a decent price
